Anxiety

Anxiety makes up the majority of my client caseload so I have dedicated a whole paragraph of information on this disorder.

Generally speaking, Anxiety is our body's natural response to stress or perceived danger.  This is also known as the 'fight or flight' response, which enables us to react quickly to life-threatening situations. Frequent or chronic activation of this response can have serious consequences for our health.

Many clients who come to see me are suffering from anxiety in some form or another. This can build up over a  long period of time without us realising. We then start to feel overwhelmed, out of control and unable to function day to day.

Anxiety can manifest itself in many ways and can exacerbate any physical or mental health condition. It can often lead to more complex issues, such as addiction, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, eating disorders etc.

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy can be very effective in the treatment of anxiety disorders, helping you to understand what happens in the brain in relation to anxiety and enabling you to have a greater awareness of your condition. The process is designed to reduce anxiety, by calming the mind through the use of hypnosis and supporting you through challenges in small positive steps.
